After waiting over an hour for our food, I didn't think I would be giving this place 5 stars, but the food is just that good. It was a busy holiday weekend in Spring City and das Cafe was packed. I had heard about this place for years, but we are usually only in town on holidays when it is closed, so this was our first visit. We had the Bratwurst, Mashed Potatoes, Sauerkraut, the Reuben Sandwich and the Carrot Cake. Everything was excellent. I have spent a fair amount of time in Germany, and can attest that this place is authentic. If it were open tomorrow, I'd be going back for breakfast. Definitely the best food in Sanpete County and possibly the best German food in the state.

hands down the best food in the area. fresh delicious and wholesome. it's obvious these people know how to cook and take pride in it. we shared the open faced breakfast sandwich and their special coffee and a side of potato salad. it was OUT OF THIS WORLD. seriously good stuff. I don't think you can go wrong at this place. I wish they were open for dinner.

What an awesome find! Admittedly, your options are a bit limited in this area. But that does not diminish what a great find this place is. Bratwurst was amazing! Their sauerkraut appears to involve some cured pork (that's right- BACON!), but in a perfect harmony sort of way, not over powering. Friendly people, clean restaurant, amazing food. What a gem!!

GREAT German food!! I don't think anyone should go here for just a simple turkey or ham sandwich, definitely good too BUT this little cafe is German focused so you should for sure try something that is German! I promise it's well worth it! Will go again and again in the future!!

Das cafe is legit German goodness. The Kraut Burger is ridiculous. So good and the Braut on Pretzel super tasty. If you're in the area stop at Das Cafe. Friendly atmosphere with great German food. It's got the taste of small town grub. You won't be disappointed. You will leave full and happy.

This is the best place to eat south of Provo and north of Cedar City. Trust me, I've been EVERYWHERE in between with my job. As has been said, the only drawback is they don't serve dinner. The staff is awesome. They truly appreciate every customer and I've always been greeted with their small town charm. The atmosphere and decor are spot on. The building is very charming with a great touch of local art lining the walls. Last, but not least, is the food. I have never had a bad meal here. I love eating the delicious breakfast options for lunch. If you like a good Rueben then this is your place. This place is worth the trip. It is a little out of the way, but you probably won't mind the beautiful mountain views coupled with the quaintness found in Spring City. It is also worth noting that the tap water in town is from a spring. I happily just order a water every time.

Amazing little find in rural Utah! I will always make a stop here if I'm in the area. I had the Apple Blossom dessert which was to die for. Warm buttery crust, with carmel and apples in the middle and a huge helping of whipped cream on the side. Delish! It's a absolute must!

Had lunch today at Das Cafe. If you haven't eaten here yet, then you're missing the opportunity to taste some of the best food south of Salt Lake. Its a must if you like great tasting food, friendly service, and the small town feeling of your always welcome. We will be back.

I may move to Sanpete because of Das Café. Been here twice. I've only ordered breakfast. It's a fantastic spot and really great food. Home made breads and dessert, coffee really good, sauerkraut!

One of my favorite restaurants anywhere. Best hamburger ever (kraut burger), awesome sauer kraut, great breakfasts, awesome Nutella cake. Really cool atmosphere. Worth a side trip or drive.

Yummmm! If you are in Sanpete for a graduation, heritage days, reunion (@Wasatch Academy) or the plein air competition you must eat here. Farmer's breakfast, Ruben sandwiches, or their real hot chocolate milk will be a hit. Family friendly.

Wow! I moved to Salt Lake City in 1996 and lamented the food scene. With a few exceptions there was little going on here. Now that has changed and when it comes to business meetings I have choices. Then I discovered Das Cafe in Spring City. The food was amazing and a total surprise to me this far from "civilization". I had what may be one of the best omeletes I have ever had, thanks to the uber-fresh ingredients and the spectacular smoked bacon and sausage. Having problems with wheat I cannot speak to the breads, but they looked and smelled incredible. If you are in Sanpete county you have to go to Das Cafe for breakfast or lunch. If you are not in Sanpete you have to go out of your way at least once to give this gem a try.

My favorite place to eat in Sanpete County. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The owners are great, the desserts are killer, and be sure to try Opa's bread.

This place is a little slice of heaven in the middle of Sanpete County! Friendly owners, beautiful atmosphere, and delicious food will make this place give you the warm fuzzies when you step in the door. The food is out of this world, from the delicious homemade bread to the lattes to the off-the-menu strawberry crunch french toast. Don't miss this place when you're in the area.

Stopped in on the way home from Rat Fink reunion based on a referral from a friend. I have to say that we all had one of the best meals ever! One of our party had served a mission in Germany & said this was the first time he has had this level of quality of German food since coming home many years ago. We had a farmers breakfast, bratwurst & potatoes & a wiener & potato salad. For dessert we had carrot cake & raspberry panna cotta, the cake was the best piece of carrot cake I have EVER had period!! We will definitely be returning multiple times in the future. I would highly recommend this cafe to anyone without hesitation!
